Dream job

Mike Wolfe has a real dream job if you ask me. His work is to find old classics. He drives through whole America to pick up the coolest barnfinds. At his website you can see some movies and pictures of cars, motorcycles and vehicles he found. You can also buy most of the vehicles. Looks like a cool job to me!

Forgotten Classics

The city Napels hides a big underground aqueduct system dating from the 18th century. An archeologist was doing some research in these tunnels when he did a miraculous discovery. He found numerous fifties and sixties vehicles, stored in a part of this system. It turns out to be numerous vehicles which have been seized by police in the sixties. Years after years these vehicles have stood there, rusting and collecting dust... The comment of the Italians? "There is/was no interest in these vehicles and they have just been forgotten..."

Vespa GS150

In the early fifties Vespa's were very slow, most Vespa's hardly reached a top speed of 65km/h. Till, in 1955, the Vespa Grand Sport arrived with 8 horsepower, a topspeed of 100km/h and 10 inch wheels. With these specifications and its great design it already was, in the fifties, an admirable model.

The GS was made in five series, the VS1, VS2, VS3, VS4 and the VS5, of the VS5 most models were made. The VS1, the first series, is the most rare of them all. Because of this, prices will head up till about 20.000e for a restored one...

Nowadays I still really really like the great design of this Vespa and I think it's one of the most classic and beautifull scooters ever made!
